Where Did Cain Wife Come From?

The Bible tells us Cain had a wife, but never tells us where she came from. Was she his sister? Did other people already exist? Or is there something many readers overlook? Why Do People Wear Watches On Their Left Wrist?

I have noticed something oddly consistent about people around me. Whether it's in a crowded place like a classroom, office, or at a bus stop, I noticed that most people wear their wrist watches on their left wrist instead of their right.

While growing up, mostly as a teenager, going to church or an event, I'm told to wear my watch on my left wrist all the time. And when I ask why, they tell me because it makes me look presentable/respected or that how it has been. But it still didn't make sense to me and I wondered: was it just a random habit, a fashion trend that stuck or was there an actual reason behind it?

I did my research and here are the things I found out. 

First, it all starts with your dominant hand. Most people are right-handed and because of that, their right hand does almost everything. Their right hand does the writing, eating, opening of doors, using their phones, carrying different things, etc.

Now, back to us, let's imagine ourselves wearing our watch on that same busy hand. What would happen? It would constantly get in the way and slow you down, hit surfaces, scratch easily, and feel uncomfortable while working. So naturally, people started wearing watches on the less active hand, which is the left.

Also, let's not forget that our brain actually plays a role too. There’s also a subtle psychological factor. Your dominant hand feels more “in control” because you rely on it. So people instinctively protect it from anything that might slow it down, even something as small as a watch.

Meanwhile, the non-dominant hand is seen as the “support” hand. Perfect place for accessories. It’s like our brain quietly decides that our main hand should stay free and we should put the extra stuff on the other one.

But here’s where it gets interesting - left handed people. Left-handed people often flip the script. They tend to wear their watches on their right wrist, for the exact same reasons as a right-handed would. The comfort, protection, and ease of movement.

But because most watches are designed for right-handed users (with the crown on the right side), left-handed people sometimes struggle a bit with adjustments.
That’s why some wrist watche brands now make left-handed watches with the crown on the opposite side.

But let's keep in mind that it's not a rule.
There’s no law, no tradition we must follow.
Some people just wear watches on their right wrist simply because it feels more natural and they’re left-handed, or that they just like being different.

So, at the end of the day, it’s all about comfort.
